Direction Steps Path(s)

If I say that I am led by the Spirit of God, are they just words that I repeat or is it a truth that I live by? It's an important question to ask myself.

Last week was not a productive week because I became overwhelmed by the process of starting a website of my own and everything that goes into that. The amount of information, people's "expert" opinions, and now AI was too much to process, so I shut down.

I recognize the pattern because I've been there before. Taking action, doing the work, getting to a certain point, then the rabbit hole research. Now what? I'm lost in the sea of knowledge. Ugh! So I stopped. It took me a few days. Wrote in my journal asking God for direction, having a conversation with Him, and then it hit me. Why did I wait so long to ask for help? Didn't Jesus say that He was sending the Holy Spirit, the comforter, the one called alongside, the helper to lead and guide into all truth? Yes, yes, and yes again.

My missing link was prayer and listening ears to hear what the Holy Spirit was waiting to say, or to share. Once the realization hit me, I apologized to my Father and asked for help. It didn't take long. Clarity came along with some actionable steps to take, but I was also reminded that this journey of life is just one step at a time. All I have to do is keep moving, keep praying, and keep listening to the One who knows more than me.

In Your presence, I find myself

I am secure in You

Yielded and guided by Your spirit today

I walk hand-in-hand with You

Listening to Your spirit and doing what pleases You
