In December of 2025 a decision was made to consecrate the month of January to reading scripture, writing daily in my journal, and only listening to one godly man that I trusted besides my husband. The separation was more than I could have imagined. So, periodically, I will be sharing the richness of that time as well as the poetry and psalms that were inspired. By the way, I didn't stop after thirty days!

There is something about water, the rhythm of water, the rhythm of waves when you sit on the beach, a clean mountain spring that laps its way to another body of water, the refreshment it brings on a thirsty day, the renewal of life it brings to the earth, the flows and rhythms that bring calm. Life could not exist without water. This too is what God brings and gives to us through His Son and by His Spirit. His love is in action every day and every moment of each day. We are to embrace His beauty and allow our completeness to come in the gift of His presence, flooding us and refreshing us.

I am coming to the end of my 30 days of consecration, and I must say that I have enjoyed the commitment. The depth of God is unfathomable because I know there is so much more to learn and embrace. I pray that love is my guide in everything I do and say, and that each day of surrender, I yield to Your leading, Your wisdom, and Your truth. I have come to the place where I can honestly say that the things of this earth have grown strangely dim in the light of Your glory and grace. I’m called to glorify God, and that encompasses all of me: His purpose, His plans, His love.

THIS DAY
Each day I start my day with You
and thank You for another day I can spend with You
I pray that this day is filled with Your grace
and my life is a reflection of You.
Today is a day You’ve given to me
a day filled with everything new
