Welcome To Rhoda's Place

Hi, I'm Rhoda — and I have a great passion for life.

You'll see it in the love I pour into my husband, my children, my grandchildren, and everyone I get to connect with along the way. And you'll see it in my love for the beauty of God's creation, which shows up in nearly everything I make and do. To me, creativity isn't separate from faith — it's one of the truest ways I get to express it.

For forty-six years, that creative spirit has found a home supporting my husband in his own endeavors — fashioning props, running a sound booth, dreaming up product ideas, and now helping promote his book, Unsung Heroes Wear No Capes: 12 Essential Virtues for an Extraordinary Life. Whatever the project, I've loved being the hands behind the scenes.

Each day, I try to grow a little more in wisdom, in knowledge, and in love for others — and each day, I try to treat that growth like something worth celebrating. My own journey has held laughter and joy, sorrow and triumph, even tragedy. Through all of it, faith and hope have carried me forward.

Learning has always been part of who I am. Some of it came the self-taught way, gathered through years of curiosity and doing. Some of it came from classrooms — at The Ohio State University, Tulsa Community College, Tulsa Technology School, and the University of Oklahoma. I'm an insatiable reader, too, moving between books and scripture in the same breath, always feeding that appetite for a life of growth.

Now I'm channeling all of it into something new: Rhoda's Place, featuring my original digital products — art, poetry, and pieces made with the hope of bringing a little more beauty, peace, and purpose into your day.
